If you've shell access following command will give out lots of info:

df -H mount ifconfig

The SQL server name if its something like username_db, then you are on shared hostings. If username_ is not appended before your databases then, your hosting is dedicated.
I dont know if this is full proof or not. Can someone shed light on this? |
