Even if you do this, you will need to get rid of the previous hard link you created before you start MySQL. The easiest way to do it is to edit the start() function... but that again is not a nice solution.
Vivek, any advice? As you notice, I waited patiently for your response. Pull your NIX magic! Thanks for your help.
