old server.error-handler-404 doesn't work anymore

old server.error-handler-404 doesn't work anymore
I'm using this on a wordpress blog
Code:
server.error-handler-404 = "/index.php?error=404" The problem is it doesn't work anymore in lighttpd 1.4.16 it returns a 404 if you use a http header checker if I revert back to 1.4.15 it works again using http header checker and returns a 200 any ideas?

It seems that you are pretty quick applying latest version. Indeed it is a bug. There was a post few days back by rocky about hard coded wordpress rules. I’m not able to locate the same. Anyway wait for update.
Is this is a security upgrade?
