Greetings - I'm running a gentoo based Drupal 6.6 system with Apache2. Most of the time the system runs fine - apache uses about 15% cpu most of the time (light load on the system). However this changes dramatically whenever I load create (upload) a 'file' node in Drupal.
When I upload a file (pdf, doc,...) I get my first response from apache after it chews through about 6.25 minutes of cpu time. It then continues to chugg through to about 11.25 Minutes of cpu before sending the final postback to the submitting page. It all works - creates the file node, etc and Drupal is 'happy' with the results - it just takes forever. The only errors that I'm seeing are ntlm response errors, but apparently those are somewhat common (timing issue?) even on properly configured and running systems (ntlm logins are working fine). I see no evidence of paging, swapping or thrashing. Does anyone have any suggestions? thx. |
