Default how to connect xp to ubuntu 8.10 using dial up

Hello,

i am having ubuntu 8.10 server, want to connect to this server by using the dial up modem with pc having windows xp?

Default

Install openssh server on Ubuntu and start ssh service. This is by default installed on server.
Ubuntu Linux OpenSSH Server installation and configuration

Once started dial out to ISP

Download putty client for Windows XP
http://the.earth.li/~sgtatham/putty/.../x86/putty.exe

Open putty put server IP address and port 22 into putty ssh session and click connect. Provide your username and password.
Access Linux from Windows XP system
