How do I Configure FTP server and Install FTP client in Debian Linux?

Iam using Debian linux here when iam going to use ftp service it is given error as ftp:command not found. Can you explain me how to insatll and configure and how to use FTP srvice in Debian based Linux? Last edited by bclnarsaiah; 05-12-2008 at 04:06 PM.

ftp command not found means ftp client is not installed. Type the following command to install ftp client:
Code:
apt-get install ftp Code:
apt-get install vsftpd Now you should able to run Code:
ftp localhost ftp ftp.remote.server.com ftp server-ip ftp 192.182.5.1
