POSIX is unix standard i.e Portable Operation System Interface.This is the standard for Unix.BSD is Berkeley Software Distribution is also standards of os.

BSD is not a standard like Posix. BSD is a unix derivative from University of California, Berkeley. FreeBSD, OpenBSD and NetBSD are descendants of BSD.
