By default only root user is allowed to use devices such as CDROM/DVD and floppy etc.
Let me know if you need any further help

Kindly help to in these commands
Is there any one send me detail explanation of output of the prtconf, sysdef, dmesg, format. How can we findout that these devices are attached to this server for ex like hard disk is dad0 or scsi, for cdrom what is the path..

Help in configuring the sever..
