How can we find 'Free IP Numbers" in an enterprise class environment.
Free means not assigned to any system(If an IP is assigned to a system and it is down , then consider that IP is assigned). I need to Know IPs those are not at all assigned to any System. |

hi, you can try
#rusers | wc -l it will give you a counting of how may users are logged in. You can get the range of ip's from your DHCP configuration and calculate out of range of ip's how many are assigned and are up. Get back if ur problem is solved. |
