You can use BASH Shell under Microsoft Windows within the Cygwin POSIX emulation environment for Windows, and to MS-DOS by the DJGPP project.

u can download and install vmware from www.vmware.com in windows xp that will let you run linux/unix from within windows or you can make your machine dual boot.
