Suse linux has Iptables - a software based firewall. It is more than sufficient to protect LAN or single server.

I recommend using GUI tool such as Firestarter for Suse Linux.

Firestarter for Suse Linux - Download - Firestarter

Did ya downloaded software? if not plz download and install the same for suse. Once installed start in from menu or by typing command:
    Code:
    firestarter

No it is not dedicated to Suse. It was recommended because it is easy to use and setup for a new user.

There are many such tool exists for the same job
