    Default Best Virtualization solution

    Hi all,

my short story, I am the new sas admin in a new company and we are planning our infrastructure.

We are going for virtualization, since most of our hosts will have 16+G Ram, a waste of memory. My knowledge virtualizing in ubuntu is almost null, I've heard of Xen, qemu ... I have worked with VirtualBox in a desktop enviroment.

Any suggestion for an enterprise enviroment?. Is there any solution, that allow me to install a admin console (Desktop aplication, web or any other admin console ) to manage a cluster of virtual machines??

    Thanks very much!!

Yes, both Xen and KVM can be used free or charge. VMWare is another paid option on servers. See our tutorial section for more info:

    Thanks nixcraf!

Also, can I easily clone VMs with xen? Is there any remote admin console?

    Thanks

Yes, you can clone vms with both KVM and XEN. Citrix xen provides more options. But, you can do the same with open source xen too.
