    Default Postgres idle connections

    one of my server is sefering these messages on my postgresql server
    i think so many connections made by other servers running apache and not closing connections.

    is there any way to kill idle connections

    postgres 25343 0.0 0.0 443840 3428 pts/2 R 16:20 0:00 postgres: cmsuser cms <ipaddress>(5497 idle

    postgres 25329 0.0 0.0 443580 2008 pts/2 R 16:20 0:00 postgres: cmsuser cms <ipaddress>(53900) idle

    The default time out is okay for most cases if you need to change time out you need to edit database config and may linux networking config also.
