    Default Howto gain mastery over regex (Regular Expressions ) ?

    I am just ok with regex ..
    after coding for some time , I can say that we just cannot avoid it :P
    can some one please tell me whats the best way to gain some expertise in it ?

    Practice

    Personally, I recommend Mastering Regular Expressions, Third Edition - O'Reilly Media for sys admin and UNIX developers. It also talks about use of regexes in Perl which pays all my bills
