    ASP and .net developer here.

ASP is Windows server side scripting (like php) and it should work with Firefox or anything else... however there are other things which locks out users in Microsoft world, especially IE.

Install Ubuntu and Virtualbox software. Install XP as guest under Virtualbox software (VirtualBox)

Just wanted to give you thge heads up - IE6 and IE 5.5 sucks big time under Linux. Page rendering is not at all correct. It will not use all fonts. It is better to use VMware. May be use solution suggested by above poster.

I have installed ie on Ubuntu once, it waste .but some websites block all other browsers except ie, based on User Agent which can be easily bypassed by changing user agent.
this firefox addon can we used to change the user agent to the desired one

I use opera and switch user agent to IE and most IE specific website works like a charm. Try it out!

And one more thing i got shocked by seeing the downloads for this addon
126,079 weekly downloads............... Its really a big number and people are trying hard to go away from IE..hahahhaha share your thoughts on this..
