Hi HO guys.
Started work on my games web panel think it will probably take me many years lol.
when its all done ill be expert at shell scripting perl and php ( i wish)
anys ways couple of questions.
Is there away that when you go to url At the moment www.mysite.com/wpan.php I can have a pop up box prompting for user and pass that would be the same as any ssh users on the server already.
i.e root and roots pass
sparky and sparky pass
foo and foo pass.

you can configure a web server for password prompt. It is called password protected directory.

However, do not use UNIX/Linux system accounts i.e. root, user etc until and unless you have ssl / https connection.

First create directory called cp, put wpan.php inside cp dir and password protect this /cp/ directory. So if your url should look like as follows:
www.mysite.com/cp/wpan.php
