percentage difference between 2 files
i know that cmp, diff, diff3, etc are used to compare two files and report the difference line by line, etc.
However, i am interested to find the percentage difference between two files. well its not possible for a text file, but on a binary file, there might some differences between original and its recovered. In this case expressing the difference between the two files as a percentage would be more desirable. Does any one have an idea of how to get this?
