Default Script for backup and automate it

Hi,

1.I have very simple requirement,where I want to backup of the logged on users home foldes to differnet location as well over the weekend.Server running rhel5 as PDC.Each user has his/her own home folder mapped to them.Location is say /Home/user1,user2......user10.I wanted to back it up on some differnewt location say /databkp for all the users.How can I create a backup script for this purpose.
Also how can automate it thorugh cron etc. to schedule the whole backup by the end of the week?
2. Now my second question is to create a common folder (say Common) to all the users.i.e user1..10.Do I need to do it by samba or some script.I want that this folder maps to every new or old user once the login into the domain.Also what should be the script to backup this folder manually and scheduling it over the weekend too.

Hope I posted it in the right place.I simply want to backup the data from server.Do I need to write the script at all??
If yes how to automate it?
