hey all,,
have long time no seen
i have two questions with regards to the command passwd.

1-if its possible to change my terminal/shell password without the need for re-entering the old password. just the new-one.

2-am a regular user in the system. can i display/decrypt my enrypted password? (JUST MINE -not others, in the situtation i've been logged in my terminal)

thx a lot.

Only if you try to change password as root user.

No. Password algo is non reversible and you can not display / decrypt your or any other users password.
