Default DNS: Conditional Forwarding

Is there any way to do conditional forwarding? I have a DNS server for a local network, and what it can't resolve it forwards. My internal email server is also accessible from the outside, and when dhcp clients get a lease internally, they use the external ip address for the mail server. I would like for them to use the internal one instead, but when I add a zone to map the external FQDN to internal addresses, I have to add all of the external servers, not just the internal ones. Some of the external servers are not on the internal network. So I would like to have it set up so that if an external name has an internal IP address, use that, otherwise consult the external DNS server for the external address (ie. forwards the request to the external DNS server). Is this possible?

Thanks for all help.

Yes it is possible, use views under BIND9.
