Default What does this method called?

Hi all, I'm very new to Linux environment. Would appreciate if anyone can give me an answer for the following scenario:

1.
mainsite.com serve Web App

User from A country have a fast connection to mainsite.com
User from B country have a very slow access to mainsite.com
User from B country have a fast connection to C country VPS
Country C has a fast connection to mainsite.com

Current fix is that user from B country is using proxy service from C country to access mainsite.com (fair speed)

What does the above known as? reverse proxy?

2.
If I were to restrict when user key in www2.mainsite.com hosted in the VPS, it will auto pull data from mainsite.com and serve at www2.mainsite.com
What is the best way to design that reroute? by using squid? and what method is it known as?

Thank you.

It is called geo load balancing. It is done with the help of multiple servers and geodns.

i have read about geo load balancing and geodns and I dun think I able to benefit from it cause all data has to be processed through a single server.

what is the method call to when a user key in www2.website.com and the traffic will be proxied from www2.website.com to www.website.com. I can then create www3, www4, etc for the users to try on manually whichever has routed the data faster.
