Default Wep & Wpa

I recently read the WEP cracked in record time article. I knew WEP was vulnerable, but I thought with MAC filtering, it was pretty good security. I haven't tried getting wpa_supplicant working yet. Should I? Is it that easy to not only crack a 128bit key, but also spoof a mac address?

You should use wpa_supplicant i.e. switch to WPA2 or use a Linux GUI tool called NetworkManager to configure access to protected wireless networks.
