ftp xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx.

Connected to "some_ip".
vsftpd: error while loading shared libraries: libssl.so.6: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
Connection closed by remote host.


this error is comming.

I think the problem is with the server holding the ftp server, reinstall the FTP Server and check if its a solution.

Default already did it

i already did it, even checked for update for openssl and also tried for updating/upgrading libssl, or whatever matches by this....


give me some other solution

Have you tried to upgrade vsftpd? Use yum command

Yes sir even i tried to upgrade libssl-devel or whatever related to this problem that i thought

i searched on google, the result was related with error, libssl.so.5 but in my case it is libssl.so.6

help me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok if you say its related to libssl.so.6, why don't you just go and update ur current library file libssl.so.5 ???

create a symlink to libssl.so.6
Code:
ln -s   libssl.so.5 libssl.so.6

thanks a lot, it was not a prb of libssl,

i just accedently made a file in xinetd.d/vsftpd.

just deleted that and prob solved.
