Default squid without firewall

what risks i may face if i set squid without firewall. Pls. explain.
i have applied different acls like allowing only 50 sites , restricted download file size, file extention restriction.

Firewall cuts many risks but keep it mind it is not ultimate solutions. I recommend a firewall for all sort of usage. Without firewall your network open to wild attacks and unauthorized access. Firewall should follow the close all doors and open required windows policy
