Thread: Network Setup-- Need suggestion

Hi,

I have to setup a network. There is a 4 MBPS broadband connection which is getting terminated to Linksys router.

Now I have to setup Firewall (using Linux.. if possible please refer some tutorials) and then setup DNS and DHCP on a different machine.
For firewall I plan to use saperate machine and use another machine on which I will configure both DNS and DCHP.

once this is done then i plan to configure proxy server.

need some suggestion on how to go about with the setup.

Do you really need two or three machines? I mean do you've large user base or LAN? If not a single Linux server can act as a firewall, proxy, dns, and dhcp server.
