Using Fedora 7,i386 linux OS Platform.
I have configured Squid Proxy with NAT based Gateway for my LAN,having more then 100 PC's. Now,I am using "iptables" based rules for security & other access. Also I am using 2 Mbps Internet leased line for access. Now,I want to restrict my internet usage,So that no body can download BIG files with full speed. For that,I want to restrict my internet speed limit of 1 Mbps.No body can use internet above 1 Mbps & I will get 1 Mbps line empty. Is it possible? I have heard about CBQ & TC. But,I don't know how to configure them?Any documentation available? Can "iptables" restrict internet bandwidth? IF Yes, HOW? Please Help. |
