Hi

Can any one tell me how many virtual interfaces can be created in Linux?

I think upper limit is 255

Vitual interface means "Virtual Ethernet"
You mean 255 virtual Ethernet interfaces can be created?

yes Virtual Ethernet like eth0:1 to eth0:255, or eth1:0 to eth1:255 and so on. This is also known as network aliases.
