Dear All,

Is there any way to disable some particular users accessing via sftp.
Our setup is only enabled with ssh and sftp for Linux.
But i can see some users logging in via sftp and uploading files. So i need to provide restrictions for the users to login via sftp.
Pls can some one help??

Default Sftp problem

Hi,
To make the users denying for sftp access , put the user name in "/etc/vsftpd.ftpusers". And make sure to restart the vsftp service after doing this.

Thumbs up Restrict some SFTP users

Hi there,

you can use rssh script (rssh - restricted shell for scp/sftp) which is used to restrict sftp for some users......

Am not sure if you can deny access to sftp while allowing access through ssh. sftp runs as a subsystem of ssh. Also I don't really understand the benefits of restricting access to sftp. What exactly are you trying to achieve ?
