Default Sendmail Server.

I have configured "sendmail Server" as an MTA with "squirrel" webmail.

Question:1.

Now, I would like to know the about the "EMail Bounce" session.

The thing is :- If suppose I am sending 500 EMails at a time & 200 emails got rejected. Now, As per my view, sendmail will Re-send same mails on a specific interval of time.

So, I would like to stop that thing. I just want to configure like if "sendmail" is getting bounce mail, it won't resend same mail. Bcoz I am using bulk mail server & everyday I am executing more then 2000 emails.

But, if "sendmail" will resend all 200 bounced mails, it will create problem on my "Mail Queue". In short, my "Mail Queue" will increase.

I just want to know if someone can put light on this matter. I just want to get "bounced" mails. "Sendmail" should not resend all bounced mails.

Any specific settings?

Question :2.

All bounced mails are going directly into "root" account. If I am sending email by using "abc" user account, then the bounced mail should come into the same account. Why it is going into "root" account instead of "abc" account?

I have made alias setting for that. Everytime,it is not possible to check "root" account. So,I will get all 'root" mails into "abc" user account. But,this is not a perfect solution.

Another thing is, in /etc/aliases file,if two users wants to get all "root" mails, then How to configure it? I have made below setting for this.

# Person who will get root's email
root:abc,xyz

Above line syntax is perfect or having errors?

newaliases command isn't showing me any error.

Please do the needful for above two problems.

Advanced thanks.
