Default How to process incoming mails

Hello all,

I have a requirement to process the incoming mail,get the senders address and write it in a text file. Also i have to strip out the attachments and store in a folder. I have no idea about how to do this. Anyhelp would be greatly appreciated.

You need to use procmail a mail delivery agent (MDA) or mail filter, a program to process incoming emails on a computer, widely used on Unix / Linux systems.

Try following tutorials as example:

  2. Set up filters using Procmail
  3. Procmail How-To Page
