Default Seeking webmail package recommendation

Hi folk,s

Ubuntu LAMP 6.06 amd64
Postfix

I'm running SquirrelMail as webmail. I'm searching for a better feature webmail. What other webmail package would you recommend, preferrable available on repo.

I have no strong object on installing it on package download on its official site. However for easy upgrade in future I prefer its package being available on repo.

TIA

There are various options:
Horde/IMP mail client : Its quite a feature rich client, but also quite complex to set up. It gives you quite some extra features if you ready to install the entire Horde suite.

Roundcube: An excellent webmail system. It's quite lightweight, and is easily installed. If you just want a webmail. this should work out for you.

AtMail: Free/Open Source version of AtMail webmail system. Easy to set up, but it only supports POP3, no IMAP.

Regards
Amitabh

That is what I need. I tried to install it on Ubuntun LAMP 7.04 box about one year ago but without success. Finally I turned to SquirrelMail until now. I'm looking for a light weight webmail with more features.

What did you mean "it only supports POP3, no IMAP"? I'm running POP3 and IMAP (Cyru) on the mail server.

Rouncube installs pretty smoothly for me. I have been using it for 2 years now. You just might try it again.

Sorry, I meant just the opposite: it only supports IMAP protocol. POP3 support has been disabled in the open source version, as they are also selling the commercial version which has the POP3 support.
