Default Internet Speed of Squid Users

I am using Red Hat Enterprise Release 4. How can I improve my Internet speed by using squid service? My server is connected with DSL connection.

You can use directory caching size for this.Maximize the dirctory which is cache the contains and of cource ram to improve the performance. If you give me the details as , incoming speed of internet , disk size with partition and ram I can give you exact details how much disk space to give so as to get maximum o/p.
