Fedora 8 Installation Hangs / Stops at
I have downloaded the fedora 8 rescued iso and i have burned that iso to cd and i couldn't complete the installation. It gets stooped at the following screen:
"which portion contains the iso CD-ROM Hard drive ..." I selected cd buts it ejects the cd and informs insert the iso cd. May i know what is the problem.......

The rescue cd is ONLY used for troubleshooting system problem. You need to download DVD ISO file
3.2 GB DVD ISO http://mirror.anl.gov/pub/fedora/lin...8-i386-DVD.iso You can also use Live CD to just boot and use the computer. http://mirror.anl.gov/pub/fedora/lin...-Live-i686.iso If you don't have high speed internet contact local LUG or Linux vender.
