Default video conferencing server

Can you expand a little more on what you are using the video conferencing for? There are a lot of solutions which you can use. Anything from a USB attached web cam all the way up to Telepresence systems so it is hard to say what would be a good solution without knowing more about what you will be using it for.

Thanks

Smile I am also looking for a COnference server

Hi All,
I was looking for conference server too and after some google work, i came to this site. So, 'hi' to you all.
What i am looking for is a conference server(possible Open source) which can handle audio,video and file sharing. This server can initiate atleast 60 conferences at a time where up to 10 users can join to a single conference from different IP address.
Maybe a open source server with some customization could help me.
Can anybody help me to find this kind of conference server.

ROY

Default Conferencing Server

Roy--

Have you considered a hosted solution?

Also, I know it is not Open Source but I believe that MicroSoft Live Meeting may be able to accomplish your goals. I am not 100% certain.

My company provides conferencing services so if it is something you are interested in and what me to research for you in more detail, just let me know.

Also, if you do find an open source solution that meets your needs, please let me know what it is so I can research it further and see if it is someone I may want to partner with moving forward.

Good Luck

Thanks,

i dont know if i am right or not, if i am right or dead wrong, or if i am not at all right or completely right, or i am playing a fluke shot.
this is how i set up the server. its a total hodge podge (plus the encrypted HDD's heads and cylinders are totally gone, so i need to recover the data first of that hdd and then replace it from seagate, i got a yes issued from seagate, since the data is encrypted i can use a 3 rd party data recovery soln provider for it. and then get it exchanged from seagate, and i got no clue when i will get the data recovered and also when will i get it replaced. once i get it done? i guess i can post the config here.)
setup diag view. this is still my pet R&D, asterisk as native doesnt support video with looseless quality, helix does and i am replacing the live stream real video with x264. and this is highly unstable and i use it from my friends place, where he has a webcam.
{
asterisk + helix senaca server + helix transmitting the video using x264 & voice using SIP open g729
asterisk enables me to carry SIP -> IP voice transmission
helix senaca 10.x server for the real player helix open source foundation using x264 using the feed live from the webcam
}
others obviously using ssh x fwd, vnc, freenx.
