Hi All,
My Scenario: I have 2 NIC Card's eth0 & eth1. eth0 is Connected to the network.it has some specific ip address assinged. And eth1 is not connected to the network.but it has some ip address is assinged. My problem is follow, eth0 --> 192.168.0.1 ---> connected to network.( Can able to Ping, ssh etc) eth1 --> 192.168.0.3 ---> Not connected to the network.( Can able to ping, ssh etc) Note: Remember that eth1 is not connected to the network, same time i didn't "ifdown eth1".But still i can able to ping, ssh etc using that ip address assigned to that interface. (here 192.168.0.3).i am totally confused.how its working?. can you expalin how its working even the interface card is not connected to the network?. Is this kind of Ip aliasing?
