Squid proxy authentication in transparent mode howto
have followed this Linux squid transparent howto http://www.cyberciti.biz/tips/linux-...uid-howto.html
Can proxy authentication be done in transparent mode? It is not working what's wrong with my setup???

No you cannot use Authentication in transparent mode.
This is a problem with TCP/IP protocol as you are redirecting port 80 to 3128. Client thinks you are talking to original remote web server and not the proxy. This is not squid problem. I will update above article to reflect this fact
