You can use official mysql client to connect to Linux based MySQL server. http://dev.mysql.com/downloads/mysql/5.0.html#downloads

You can use webbased tool such as phpMyAdmin and windows based product such as MySQL Administrator. See http://www.cyberciti.biz/faq/gui-too...abases-server/

You can use front end such as VB and other ODBC drivers to connect MySQL server.

You also need to create user account and grant permission to access MySQL from Windows system. It is called remote access. See following tutorial for more information.
http://www.cyberciti.biz/tips/how-do...se-server.html

Let me know if u need any further help
