Default Harddisk driver install

When I install redhat 9 linux. I fase some problem in driver installation of sata hard disk driver automatically not installed and ask for device driver
pls tell me
how to install sata harddisk driver during installation Redhat 9

Ramesh,

Redhat 9 is too old to have driver for latest h/w such as sata harddisk. Your best option is to use latest Fedora Core 6 or Debian Linux 3.x version. Also you may need to go to BIOS setup and setup Change the SATA configuration in the BIOS (i.e. legacy ATA mode) so drives are seen as individually, not in RAID setup. See following FAQ for more info
