Default Linux command to check size of hard drive disk

Hai,

Ok as i said erailer i did order new linux dedicated server. I just want to verify that i got 120GB hard disk

so what command i need to type to find out hard disk size?

can u recommend some good book that will provide the list of all commands i need to learn

Use df command to report file system disk space usage (parition wise):

Just use my tutorial to get information about TOTAL hard disk size, hard disk partition size in Mega bytes etc

Purchase a book called Linux in Nutshell but best way to learn linux is install on your Desktop and search using google for specific topics. Also consider using Linux documentation site http://www.tldp.org
