Default Mplayer on openSuse 10.2

Hello everyone, I'm kinda new to linux but not completly green.

Anyways I got Mplayer installed on my openSuse so I could play my movies and stuff and I can open the vid by typing

mplayer <filename>

In a terminal. However when it opens its just the box with the video in it. There is no controls for volume, play, pause, stop ect...

I've seen screen shots with the controls for it and was wondering if there is a specific switch I need to run with the command to get this? Any advice would be great..

Thanks!

On a related note you may want to install kmplayer (kde) / gmplayer (gnome) which is GUI front end to mplayer. There are also other front ends.

I was using the keyboard before I posted but wanted the physical buttons. Just like them better

Ah, The Kmplayer / Gmplayer worked out. That is what I was looking for. Thanks a lot!
