i have a problem with Sendmail

i have a private network and local users have to send their mail on rediff.....and so on, we resistered a mail domain space with mail.clarksinn.in

Little bit configuration i made to sendmail.mc and the some process of make file

i tested the sendmail by sending mail on rediff, but it stops with a error while sending name lookup problem.

i am totally confused what to do.

Hmm

There are many ways to configure a mail server

1) Use your service providers smtp/pop3 for sending and receiving mail. Your linux mail server will act as mail router (connected vial DSL/LL/dial up) etc. and all lan client will send and fetch mail via this mail router. This setup does not requires dedicated IP for mail router. All you need is ISP smtp and pop3.

2) Your own mail server and dns MX point to your mail server. This setup needs dedicated IP to your linux mail server. All lan client connects to your server and you run both SMTP and pop3 on this box itself. This box needs 24x7 internet connectivity

Now first you decide what kind of setup you want… depend on your setup we can point out to url or help you out

i like ur 1st option, act as mail router and i have my ISP smtp and POP address.

Can u please help how to do that. i already sent my sendmail.mc file
