BSD style and Linux SYS V style runlevel are diffrent.
Almost all linux distro use following SYS V style runlevel and scripts: Runlevel 0 is halt Runlevel 1 is single-user Runlevels 2-5 are multi-user Runlevel 6 is reboot To change runlevel Code:
sudo init 1
