Default Ubuntu Linux runlevel and its meaning

Helo all,

Ok, now i got working Ubuntu Linux. Just wondering if some one has more information about Ubuntu Linux runlevel iile they are same as UNIX runlevel and how do i change them

Default

BSD style and Linux SYS V style runlevel are diffrent.

Almost all linux distro use following SYS V style runlevel and scripts:
Runlevel 0 is halt
Runlevel 1 is single-user
Runlevels 2-5 are multi-user
Runlevel 6 is reboot

To change runlevel

sudo init 1
