Default Dovecot: Eror message access denied /etc/dovecot.conf
i have a problem with dovecot.

when i am trying to start the dovecot service, it failed to start the service with the following message

Starting Dovecot Imap: Fatal: can't open configuration file /etc/dovecot.conf: permission denied [FAILED]

You must be the root user to star service also make sure file /etc/dovecot.conf exists with correct permissions

What about file /etc/dovecot.conf ?

login as root and use this command

chmod 755 -R /etc/dovecot.conf
