I'm using MRTG on an XP workstation
But every time i let it log it stops after several hours. My cfg files keep daemonizing and no errors are in any log files Not even when i debug some options But every morning I come back and it stopped AGAIN I try to open my computer to check out my logfiles and it just keeps searching and searching for my partitions and it won't display my partitions Is it possible that MRTG keeps running no matter if it has acces to a medium or not. Could this be a problem in my XP install Or is it a known problem with MRTG |

Try to start with debug option and then see eventlog in NT/XP
Code:
start /Dc:\mrtg-xxx.xxx\bin wperl mrtg --logging=eventlog debug="snpo,cfg" mrtg.cfg |

I used this to start mrtg
perl mrtg xxxxxxx.cfg --logging= c:\logfile.log debug="snpo, cfg, dir, base, tarp, fork, time, log" mrtg.cfg Kept the dos box open and it still stops running no errors in the log files Still daemonizing when look next morning But not logging any data |
