Default Linux use ghost or copy a partition to another drive

Under windows norton offer easy way to ghost or copy a partition to another drive.. what software comes with linux for same purpouse. Is it a free software? How do I ghost a partition to another drive?

Beresford, G4L is good one, IMPO. However you can also try out dd or ddrescue commands
