Default SNMP error CODE

I want to monitor the data usage for some of the servers

But I got this weird error trying to monitor network data usage

error:

Received SNMP response with error code
error status: noSuchname
Index 1 (OID:.1.3.6.1.2.1.2.2.1.10.2)
SNMPv1_Session (remote host: "IP_ADRESS"[IP_ADRESS].161)
community:"community"
request ID: 1233544777
PDU bufsize: 8000 bytes
Timeout: 2s
Retries: 5
Backoff:1)
2005-03-17 14:00:51 -- SNMPGET Problem for ifinOctets.2 ifOutOctets.2 sysUptime sysName on community@IP_ADRESS::::::v4only

I don't get it

Everything is correct i don't get any errors during my
perl mrtg cccc.cfg
test
But in a LOG file when I was debugging I found this error
What can I possibly do about this my community name and everything is correct

Could it be possible that A newer version of the SNMP protocol is required
Or is their a alternative solution
I'm clueless
Plllzzzz help

Default possible solutions

I searched internet and found that this problem can have several
causes

1. You are using the wrong community string

that's not it cause It doesn't give errors on HD and CPU measurments

2. You are not in the acceslist of the box u are polling

Also not it I'm monitoring under an administrator network account with full rights

3. The box is not running snmp

It does or else i could not get other values out of it correctly

4. The box is down

This should mean the half network would be down
considdering it is a terminal server

5. Not the correct hostname

I used the IP adress as the hostname.
GetIf gives information about the device and it definitly is the server I wan't to monitor
Don't know what to do anymore

Any idea's are welcome

Default

In my personal experience basic cause for this error is your OID 1.3.6.1.2.1.2.2.1.10.2 does not exists and that is why other things like HD or RAM working. Solution is either update your SNMP or traces it for correct using snmptranslate or snmpwalk command and then updates it in files.

Default ERROR

It was A terminal server that gave the error

An snmp walk gave me a port nr of 2 where i should monitor network traffic

but... We have a server that has Identical hardware and software and when ik do an snmp walk command on that one it sais port 65536

So i tried that one on the first server and it gives the correct values.
