Hi,
How can we change the user password at first login. When he logs into the system with default password, it shouls ask for chage password. Does anyone has idea on this? Thanks in Advance Bhupathi Reddy |

You can use -e option to passwd command, it immediately expire an account's password. This in effect can force a user to change his/her password at the user's next login. For example: Code:
passwd -e rocky
