Default problem with accesing oracle in linux

I am having a redhat enterprise linux 4.0.i have loaded the oracle in the server.from the client machine i can able to login in the oracle database through text mode.if i login from the gui mode it automatically comes out . need solution.

Which client do you use? I am aware of Windows XP GUI client. But had no idea about Linux oracle .. LOL

I am new and trying to move to linux
