Default sco unix 5.0.7 installation problem in scsi hard disk.

i got an ibm server xseries236.model is M8841-i83 and the serial no. is 99kxg44.In this server i want to load sco unix 5.0.7.i am having two 73 gb scsi hard disk and i want to create raid1.I created the raid1 using ibm server guide.now if i install the sco unix 5.0.7,after entering the licence code,it says an error that,no root disk has been provided.cannot proceed.verify that your hardware configuration has a disk attached and configured as the primary disk,installation will now abort.press enter.
in the ibm server it uses xeaon processor with on board adaptec AIC 7902 controller.how to install the sco unix 5.0.7.and if any solution,please provide according to the spec given below:

1).divide totl disc space into two logical partitions.
2).size of the first partition be space required for stand,swap,root,isbsv4,devdb&dump(6 partition.partition of the first device into above six as unix partition.

Make sure your server is compatible with SCO UNIX, call IBM and ask them.

then update Firmware, get it from IBM website.

Next, you need to download driver disk for SCSI from IBM website akak HBA (Host Bus Adapter) for SCO unix. While installing you need to supply this driver then only you will be able to install SCO UNIX

PS: SCO UNIX is almost dead now

Few months back my friend had same problem and i pointed out following url to install SCO UNIX

http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/si...cid=MIGR-57657

Take print out of above doc;

I don't think so SCO UNIX 5.0.7 is supported on IBM xseries 236 server. Even on IBM site it says next version of SCO UnixWare 7.1.4. As monk said call IBM helpdesk and ask them if 5.0.7 version is supported or not.

Hope this help,
