Use outport to get all emails (and other data to Linux mail clinet)

What is Outport?
Outport aims to be a generic program for exporting data from Outlook (Outlook + export = Outport. Original eh? ) to various email/pim programs. It currently it can export to the Contact, Calendar and Task formats of Evolution, plus a number of generic formats supported by Outlook itself (Rich Text Format, HTML, vCalendar, vCard, iCalendar, etc). I've tested this with Outlook 2000 and most releases of Evolution 1.0.x and 1.2.x. I have not tested this with any other version of Outlook. I've received some reports of success with Outlook XP (and some bug.

Home this helps, let us know if it worked or not

Thanks, rocky .

I want to import the old mails under Outlook Express in Windows to Evolution in Linux.

Outport is said to support only Ms Outlook. It is evident from the FAQ.

Anyway, I have found a solution to my problem. The Ximian site says that we can import OE mails to a diff client like Mozilla ( under windows ) and then reimport the Mozilla mbox from Evolution.

Like OE -> to -> Mozilla -> to -> Evolution. I have not tried it. Becoz I haven't got Mozilla or any other client under windows. But I hope to do it asap.
